According to several French newspapers, famous and gorgeous actress Isabelle Adjani (La Reine Margot, Possession, La journée de la jupe) has pulled out of French production Parfums d’Alger due to some “impossible demands” director Rachid Belhadj was tired of. Adjani is, in fact, famous for being very temperamental.
Parfums d’Alger is a movie about a Parisian photographer trying to get back to her dying father in Algeri to find herself and her past. The Photography is by legendary Vittorio Storaro (Last tango in Paris) and the leading man is Alessio Boni – who we have already seen in Sanguepazzo. Merab Madani Net Broadcast studio is already planning to replace the moody actress with another international star – and according to sources that star would be Monica Bellucci, who is said to be willing to cooperate in replacing Adjani. Please remember that this is just a rumour. We highly doubt Monica Bellucci is really interested in this project (unless the studio intends to postpone the shoots) since she is about to give birth these days and her agenda will definitely keep her busy for the next three months. |
