Famous Italian presenter Ilaria D’Amico, Monica Bellucci’s long time friend, has chatted with Italian magazine Corriere della Sera about their friendship and pregnancies (D’Amico is mother to 1-month-old Pietro and is impatiently waiting for the impending birth of Monica’s baby girl). Here is the full excerpt from the interview:
«[...] The more you are private, the more you awake people’s curiosity. I have nothing against socialite life, but I am a private person and this is causing mysteries around me. It was so easy for people to create silly gossips just because I had some famous friends».
Are you referring to Monica Bellucci?
«Yes, I was bothered about the rumours [about an alleged lesbian relashionship with Bellucci] at first, because ours is a true friendship that has lasted for 15 years. Then I said: stop bothering, let’s leave the garbage to the dustmen.»
A nice coincidence for two women so close living together motherhood (Bellucci is expecting a baby too):
«Yes, it’s beautiful. Motherhood is contagious. Monica had already begun [trying for a baby], she wanted another baby for so long and the timing was perfect. I have a sister who is 10 years older than me. I wanted to share this experience with her, but it was not possible. I am happy to live it with Monica.»
