During a press conference held in Taormina on June 12, Monica Bellucci has spilled the beans about her next projects. She, in fact, has confirmed she’ll do theatre in the near future (but it won’t be Filumena Marturano, as previously reported by the Italian press):

“There are still lots of things I want to do. Like theatre: there is a project in the works with Michele Placido, but it won’t be Filumena Marturano. I love Eduardo’s plays but Filumena is not a work I would do on stage.”

She spoke about working in Hollywood again, revealing that there is another big project in the works, but when asked about it she answered: “I can’t tell you more!”.

Last but not least, she revealed a bit more about Kim Chapiron’s “brazilian movie”:

“Me and my husband [Vincent Cassel] will fly to Brazil in a few months – we’re starting to shoot a movie in January. It’s a comedy about a married couple living a crisis through the Rio Carnival. I love working with Vincent, he’s a great artist – and we’ll finally be together. We fight better when we work together.”

Monica looks really busy these days in Italy: she attended the opening ceremony for the 57th Taormina Film Fest yesterday, where she has received the Arte Award from the hands of acclaimed French director Patrice Leconte. Kung Fu Panda‘s Jack Black was among the guests too.

She held a masterclass this morning, and she had a few pictures taken for an official photocall. Enjoy the pictures, we’ll be adding MORE in the next hours.

Style tips: for the Taormina Film Fest opening ceremony, Monica wore a lace pink Dolce&Gabbana dress – same she wore in 2009, for the Mardan Palace Hotel opening in Turkey (click to open).
