Looks like Canadian actor Jay Baruchel is completely in awe of his “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” co-star Monica Bellucci! Here’s what he said in one of his latest press interview:

“I was lucky enough to be on set with her. She has such a strong presence on screen, so to get the chance to work with her was an absolute honour. She is amazing and she is probably the most beautiful woman in the history of the world. There was one night during production where Monica and Teresa Palmer were on set at the same time and I thought, ‘this is why I got into acting”.

“The Sorcere’s Apprentice” was premiered yesterday at the New Amsterdam Theater in Times Square in New York City. Nicolas Cage and the whole cast made an appearence – but Monica Bellucci didn’t. We assume she is still busy in Italy for the filming of Martini Gold’s commercial.
Let’s hope for an appearence in August, at the Italian and French premieres!

In the meantime, we are *still* adding pictures to the Martini Gold commercial candids album in the gallery. Check out 19 new HQ stills:

Only 9 days to the release of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”!
Monica’s co-star Alfred Molina speaks about her in an interview by Bryan Reesman:

Could you talk about working with Monica Bellucci? She complemented you earlier.
«That’s because I paid her. I gave her $50 to say something nice. No, she’s great, she’s wonderful. It’s a testament to the class of this cast. There’s a wide range of not just actors and acting styles but actors who are coming in with very, very different backgrounds and very different kind of histories. I always think that mix is really, really good for a movie. And she’s fantastic. She’s very beautiful and has got a fantastic way of playing a great combination where she can play sexy and scary at the same time, which is really quite brilliant. I think we’re going to exploit that to the max in this movie.»

Disney unveils the new haracter poster that features Monica Bellucci’s character, the sorceress Veronica, from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, coming out on July 14. Click on the picture below to open the larger version!

Here is the character profile:

“Veronica is a sorcerer who has had the great fortune of being loved by Balthazar Blake-and the misfortune of being loved by Maxim Horvath. “Balthazar and Veronica are willing to do everything for their love,” says Bellucci, “and at the same time they’re two fighters. Horvath, who, like them, was a disciple of Merlin, also falls in love with Veronica. She rejects him for Balthazar, and because of that he betrays them by aligning himself with Morgana. It’s a beautiful and powerful story about love, jealousy and vengeance.”
