Monica Bellucci is on Italian VANITY FAIR’s cover with Léonie this week, pictured by acclaimed photographer Vincent Peters.
Here are a few quotes from the interview:
«I won’t have more children, probably I won’t make many nude photoshoots, movie characters will change. There will be more mothers, more aunts, more grandmothers, less femmes fatale [...] I want to live my age for what it is giving me. I don’t want to pretend I am still 20 or 30.»
The issue will show some pictures from her upcoming photographic book “MONICA BELLUCCI”, which will raise money for charity. Beautiful pictures from the last 30 years will be featured.
«Only the picture with Léonie is from this year and it’s like it’s marking the ending of a period in my life, a period that will never come back but to which I say goodbye with no regrets. I’ve been blessed with such many beautiful things in these years. Work, encounters, travels, love, my daughters. I can say goodbye to youth with no sorrow. I’m closing a chapter and opening a new one.»
Monica will be awarded with the Vittorio De Sica Award on November 23 in Italy, and describes this moment in her life:
«I’m like a pear. A perfectly ripe pear. Sweet and luscious. A sort of state of grace. The ripe pear will fall sooner or later, I know. It will get rotten too. And it’s not a nice thing but I’ll think about it later.»
