The gorgeous couple’s brazilian Carnival has officially started! Monica and husband Vincent Cassel (plus friend, hairstylist John Nollet) were among the guests at the Copacabana ball, which took place at Copacabana Palace yesterday. They aren’t done with partying btw: according to official sources, they should perform with their samba school Grande Rio on Feb. 11, at the annual official parade of Sapucai. The performance should be part of the movie the couple is going to shoot with Kim Chapiron.

Looks like the lovely couple has found a new way to have fun: samba! According to Brazilian newspapers, Monica Bellucci and her husband of 13 years Vincent Cassel are officially going to perform along with their samba school on February 9, during the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. Can’t wait to see them!

Good news for Brazilian fans: according to Brazilian medias, Monica Bellucci and husband Vincent Cassel have enrolled their daughters Deva (7) and Léonie (2) in a Rio de Janeiro school. This means they have officially moved from Europe to Brazil for the next months – don’t forget Monica and Vincent are about to shoot their 9th movie together next winter in Rio.

Vincent Cassel has spoken to the Italian press about his rumored and announced projects with wife Monica Bellucci. And it looks  like the play “Una giornata particolare” we previously reported about is no longer among their projects, and that Samba Drama won’t be in the works for another year at least.

Are you going to team up again with your wife Monica Bellucci?
“Yes, we will be starring in a movie set during the Rio Carnival, but not before next year”

What about your play, “Una giornata particolare”?
“I’m afraid that will remain a project. That’s better. Theater is not for me.”

Monica Bellucci will be in Venice in September to promote Philippe Garrel’s Un Ete Brulant – Venice Film Festival’s President Marco Muller has confirmed today in a press conference held at the Hotel Excelsior in Rome.

According to Il Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Italian actor and director Michele Placido will be directing Monica Bellucci and husband Vincent Cassel in a parisienne new version of Neapolitan Eduardo De Filippo‘s most famous play, Filumena Marturano. The couple will play on stage, obviously as Filumena and Domenico Soriano – both for the first time.

«The project is still in the embryonic stages. We talked to Luca De Filippo [Eduardo's son and stage actor himself, who played Domenico Soriano several times]. The challenge to bring  famous Eduardo’s piece on France’s stages is very intriguing. Monica is fascinated by the character and has wanted to play it for long. Cassel, on his hand, is a fan of Marcello Mastroianni in Matrimonio all’Italiana (the most famous cinematographic version of the play, starring Mastroianni and Sofia Loren). A couple in life and on stage, it could work», said Michele Placido.

Secondo il Corriere del Mezzogiorno, il regista e attore Michele Placido dirigerà Monica Bellucci e il marito Vincent Cassel in una nuova versione, riadattata per i palcoscenici parigini, della commedia di Eduardo De Filippo più nota, Filumena Marturano. La coppia dovrebbe interpretare Filumena e Domenico Soriano a teatro – entrambi al loro debutto sul palcoscenico, dunque.

«È ancora solo un progetto allo stato embrionale – precisa – per il quale abbiamo preso contatti con Luca De Filippo [figlio di Eduardo e attore a sua volta, che ha interpretato Domenico Soriano molte volte a teatro]. Ma la sfida di portare sui palcoscenici d’Oltralpe la celebre commedia di Eduardo, mi intriga molto. Monica è affascinata dal personaggio e coltiva da tempo il sogno di interpretarlo. Cassel, dal canto suo, ha come punto di riferimento il Mastroianni di “Matrimonio all’italiana”. Insomma, una coppia nella vita e in palcoscenico, potrebbe funzionare», dice Placido.
