The next chapter in the Wizarding World is set to be revealed with the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore in April and with it comes a return to Hogwarts.
Though Hogwarts was briefly seen in the second Fantastic Beasts film, The Crimes of Grindlewald, the legendary school of witchcraft and wizardry looks to get more of a focus in this entry in the series. Check out Fandom’s exclusive debut of a new behind the scenes video above, which includes new footage from the film, as director David Yates, producers David Heyman and Tim Lewis, and stars Eddie Redmayne (“Newt Scamander“), Jude Law (“Albus Dumbledore“), Dan Fogler (“Jacob Kowalski“), Callum Turner (“Theseus Scamander“), Fiona Glascott (“Minerva McGonagall“), Jessica Williams (“Lally Hicks“), and Richard Coyle (“Aberforth Dumbledore“) all discuss why the story — and the ongoing fight to stop Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) — takes the characters to Hogwarts and why that is so meaningful.
Yates, who directed the final four Harry Potter films and is directing the entire Fantastic Beasts series notes, of coming back to Hogwarts, “There are so many memories… There’s a feeling of coming home,” while Law remarks, “I think what excites me the most is the opportunity to return to the place that we grew to love in the Harry Potter films.”
Williams (The Daily Show), who briefly appeared in Crimes of Grindlewald and will have a larger role here, notes that she grew up reading the Harry Potter books, explaining, “It was so surreal to walk on these sets,” which also included familiar locations near Hogwarts like the Hog’s Head Inn.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore opens April 15 in theaters.
